Library, Archive & Open Research Services

Salary:  £30,302 to £34,468 per annum, inclusive.

The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine is a world-leading centre for research and postgraduate education in public and global health. Library, Archive & Open Research Services of this major international postgraduate medical school is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative individual to take responsibility for all aspects of the delivery of administrative support to the department and undertake various projects in support of the service. Duties include providing technical supervision to Library, Archive & Open Research Services staff involved in financial and HR processes, and leading on the administration of ServiceDesk, the LAORS internet and intranet pages and the LAORS team Sharepoint site. The successful candidate will have proven experience of working successfully with financial management and HR systems and of delivering general administrative support, and demonstrable knowledge of financial and HR procedures and issues relating to file management.

Applicants should possess excellent communication skills, and be service oriented with excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent organisational skills, excellent IT skills and attention to detail, the ability to work as part of a team and the ability to take responsibility are also essential. 

The post is full time 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday 09:00am to 17:00pm) and permanent. 

The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale Grade 4 in the range £30,302 - £34,468 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
