An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our HR Operations & Recruitment team at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. 

The post holder will provide HR administrative and advisory support for the delivery of a high-quality professional HR service to managers and staff across the School, including administering the School’s central HR operational processes. 

The HR Operations & Recruitment Officer's responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Effective management and delivery of high volume recruitment and selection activity across your designated Faculty and a wide range of Professional and Support Services departments.
  • Dealing with employment related correspondence such as contract administration and UKVI administration and processes.
  • Offering expert advice and guidance in relation to recruitment best practice, UKVI and right to work, family friendly policies, probation and fixed term contracts.
  • Conducting job evaluation of new and existing posts. 
  • Processing new starters from recruitment to onboarding. 

The role is a permanent and part time (0.6 FTE, 21 hours per week – part of a job share working every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday). This role will be office based at Keppel Street, London. We require the role-holder to start in March.

The salary will be on the Professional Services scale at Grade 5 and starting salary for this role is £35,377 per annum (pro rata for the part time post) inclusive of London Weighting. The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this, there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is also available.
