IPTi Project Coordinator

Salary:  £35,377 to £40,611 per annum, inclusive.

We are seeking to appoint a Project Coordinator for the project ‘Intermittent Preventative Treatment in Infants (IPTi)’ based in Department of Disease Control.

The post-holder will contribute to the management and development of the projects within their portfolio, including working on development of bids, negotiating contracts, and setting up projects. They will have responsibility for the management and control of budgets within different workstreams of the project, including drafting and updating budgets, and reforecasts, advising the Directorate on the allocation of financial resources, and producing financial reports. The post-holder will also have responsibilities for monitoring and evaluation, internal and external communications, information management, plus any other duties requested by the Directorate. They might be required to travel to low middle-income partner countries to train and audit financial reports for the project, and to provide problem solving and guidance as required.  

The successful applicant will have experience of managing large complex multi-million Sterling Pound projects with multiple partners, experience of providing administrative/financial support for research projects, substantial relevant experience of providing proactive administrative support in Higher Education (or similar environment) and working closely with academic staff members, excellent financial and communication skills. The post is full-time and funded by Unitaid via a sub-contract with Population Services International (PSI) for a period of 4 years and is available from November 2021. Salary is on the Professional Support Grade 5 scale in the range £35,377 - £40,611 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
