Assistant Professor in Evidence Synthesis (0.2 FTE)

The International Centre for Eye Health are seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor in Evidence Synthesis. 

The post-holder will lead the development of a Centre for Evidence Synthesis in Global Eye Health at the International Centre for Eye health by:

  1. developing grant applications in collaboration with Cochrane Eyes and Vision
  2. supporting departmental staff in the development and successful conduct of high-quality evidence syntheses within Global Eye Health.

The successful applicant will have a doctoral degree in epidemiology, expertise in evidence synthesis, strong publication track record on evidence synthesis in global eye health / ophthalmology, evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. This part-time post (0.2 FTE), based in London, is funded by the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust Fund until 30 June 2022. The salary will be on the Academic Grade 7 scale in the range £46,704 - £53,465 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Director’s Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available.
