The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine is a world-leading centre for research and postgraduate education in public and global health.
This is an exciting new role in our Division of Education, playing a leading role in supporting the Director of Education Services and Pro-Director (Education) to deliver the School’s priorities for Education in our 2022-27 Strategy. In particular, the roleholder will work with colleagues across the School to support the development of new and innovative education opportunities that make the most of the school’s research strengths and extensive global network of partners, this will include Masters programmes, short courses and collaborative provision. A key part of this will be supporting the School to take steps to use the Degree Award Powers (DAPs) it has acquired. The role holder will be establishing a new team, building on and enhancing our existing strengths in quality assurance and student experience. The role holder will also be the main contact for our Student Representative Council, responsible for ensuring that our students are actively engaged in university decision making structures and that our students feel as though they are partners in co-creating their wider academic life at LSHTM.
The successful candidate will hold an undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification or relevant professional experience of leading policy development in the Higher Education sector and negotiating the harmonisation of education policy and process across faculties and departments. The post is full-time 35 hours per week and permanent.
The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale Grade 8 in the range £62,028 – £71,192 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London with an expectation of at least 2 days per week on site.
