The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine is a leading postgraduate institution worldwide for research and postgraduate education in global health. 

The School is seeking to appoint a Head of Admissions to join our Registry team. The postholder will report to the Head of Registry and will be responsible for the delivery of a high quality, user-focussed admissions service for the School’s face-to-face Master’s programmes, research degrees and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Short Courses. Additionally, the Head of Admissions will oversee the School’s Scholarships and Trust Fund administration. The Head of Admissions will lead a team of ten staff across three areas with responsibility for Admissions, CPD and Short Courses and Scholarships. The postholder will manage and develop policies and procedures in relation to these areas to ensure that School processes are fair consistent and transparent. 

The successful applicant will have significant experience of working in higher education administration and a solid background in admissions. They will have a strong customer service focus, be able to manage a small team of staff and have experience of developing and implementing policies and procedures. Excellent organisational, IT and decision-making skills are essential as is the ability to produce reports, communicate effectively and work independently, flexibly and as part of a team.

The starting salary for this role is £39,304 in accordance with grade 6 of the School’s Professional Support Staff salary scale.
