Research Entomologist and Trial Manager

Chariot Innovations Limited

Salary:  Competitive, with opportunities for growth.
Closing Date:  Friday 22 January 2021
Reference:  CHA-CHA-2021-02

We have an exciting opportunity for a post-graduate qualified Research Entomologist and Trial Manager, preferably with a clinical trials background, to join our expanding and dynamic scientific team.

The Arthropod Control Product Test Centre, ARCTEC, is a world-leading independent centre for consultancy, and the evaluation and development of arthropod control technologies. We pride ourselves on our contribution to public health research, development and engagement. We conduct a wide variety of scientific projects for both industrial and academic clients, providing the efficient service of a private company with the expertise of a university. From our laboratories in London and specialised field sites around the world, we run clinical and non-clinical studies on products designed to kill or repel a wide range of insects, including mosquitoes, bed bugs and head lice. The successful candidate will join a highly-qualified team of scientists, where they will use their knowledge and experience of conducting scientific research to design, implement and analyse scientific projects. They will have the opportunity to become involved in a variety of projects and will be the lead scientist on their own portfolio.

At ARCTEC we run a combination of privately-funded and publicly-funded clinical and non-clinical studies. You will enjoy building lasting professional relationships with our existing and new clients and work effectively to manage project delivery. As some projects may be randomised controlled trials involving human participants, experience in Clinical Trial Management would be an advantage.

This is a rare opportunity to be able to join a growing company that benefits from being part of one of the world’s highest ranked universities. The variety of work conducted at ARCTEC and the opportunities to learn are endless if you possess the enthusiasm and dedication required to fulfil this role.
