The Department of Disease Control seeks to appoint a Research Fellow to lead a project aiming to develop and evaluate novel epidemiological methods for measuring the effectiveness of malaria control interventions rapidly and cost-effectively.
The post holder will be the LSHTM lead for the project and will work in collaboration with a consortium of partners at Centre National de la Recherche Rcientifique (CNFRSR, Guinea), Institut de Recherche en Sciences de la Sante (IRSS, Burkina Faso) and Universite des Sciences, des Techniques et des Technologies de Bamako (USSTB, Mali).
The successful candidate will have a postgraduate degree, ideally a doctoral degree, in a relevant topic, experience in carrying out statistical analyses of routinely collected health care or clinical trial datasets using statistical techniques such as conditional logistic regression, survival analysis, imputation of missing data, multilevel modelling, experience of using statistical software such as R and/or Python. The post is full-time, 35 hours per week, 1 FTE and fixed term until 31 July 2028. The post is funded by MRC and is available immediately.
The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 6 in the range £45,728 – 51,872 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at Keppel Street, LSHTM.
