The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is one of the world’s leading public health universities. The Department of Population Health (DPH) is looking for a Department Operations Administrator to work closely with the Department Manager and Head of Department to support the work of this large and vibrant Department. 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to develop their skills and experience across a number of responsibilities in a wide-ranging role. In addition to providing administrative support in the areas of human resources, finance, procurement, the post-holder will help to ensure Department records are kept and filed accurately and to maintain the Department intranet and internet pages.

The ideal applicant will have proven administrative experience in an academic, or similar, environment and will be able to manage a busy workload to meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills, high level of IT skills (including Excel), excellent attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team with a ‘can-do’ attitude are essential. The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale, Grade 3 in the range £28,614 - £32,307 pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part-time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM and the duties of the post will require the post-holder to be onsite at least 2 days per week.
