The Finance Office is looking for an Accounts Receivable Assistant.

You will be responsible for entering bank journals onto the Accounts Receivable Ledger to enable the budget holders to monitor their budgets; assisting with the production of invoices and credit control. You will also be responsible for providing a customer-orientated service at on Servicedesk and to complete the data entry relevant to these tasks, whilst ensuring at all times that internal financial procedures and regulations are followed and adhered to. You will also provide cover for the Senior Accounts Receivable Assistant.

You should be educated to A-level (or equivalent) with proven experience in an Accounts Receivable team, ideally within a medium or large organisation. A solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and extensive experience with computer systems, including spreadsheets, are essential. You should demonstrate a strong communication, and possess the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. While knowledge of advanced Excel and familiarity with Agresso Financials is desirable, experience working in a multi-currency or university environment would be a valuable asset. The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE and permanent.

The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale, Grade 3 in the range £28,614 - £32,307 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
