Project Administrator (Newborn Health)

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Administrator to provide efficient administrative, operational, financial, and logistical support to a range of research projects in the UK and overseas within the department’s Newborn Health & Child Development team (PI Prof. Joy Lawn).  You will be a member of the department administration team and report to the Senior Project Manager (Newborn Health).

You will primarily be responsible for financial processing, communications, and travel and events management across the group, and will also oversee small budgets, maintain group communications profiles, and assist in the management of group space. 

The post-holder will have higher education to degree level or equivalent or substantial relevant experience and experience of high-volume administrative work, a high level of numeracy, good time management and prioritisation skills, and proven initiative and problem solving skills. In return, you will have the opportunity to develop administrative and project management skills that will serve as a platform for future research project coordination or management roles. The post is full-time and fixed-term until 31 December 2025, with possibility of extension depending on funding. The post is funded by a consortium of funders including BMGH, CIFF and ELMA, and is available immediately.

The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale, Grade 4 in the range £33,111 - £37,298 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part-time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
