We are seeking to appoint an experienced administrator to manage the day-to-day running of the Department of Public Health, Environments and Society in the Faculty of Public Health and Policy. Reporting to the Faculty Operating Officer and accountable to the Head of Department, the Department Manager will oversee the Department’s finances, research projects, staffing and space, with particular focus on continuity of regular tasks (e.g. payroll variation forms) and providing support to new project administration staff.
The post-holder will line manage administrative and project staff, and have oversight of the administration needs of the Department, working closely with the Head of Department to ensure an excellent service is provided.
The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE and fixed term until 30 April 2026. The post is funded by the faculty and is available from 01 July 2025. The post is open to secondment.
The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale, Grade 6 in the range £45,097 - £51,156 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
