          <title><![CDATA[Project and PPIE Manager (0.6 - 1.0 FTE) (PHP-HSRP-2026-08)]]></title>

            <p id="isPasted">The London School of Hygiene &amp; Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is one of the world&rsquo;s leading public health universities. Our mission is to improve health and health equity in the UK and worldwide; working in partnership to achieve excellence in public and global health research, education and translation of knowledge into policy and practice.</p><p>The Department of Health Services Research and Policy (HSRP) is seeking to appoint a highly motivated Project and PPIE Manager. The successful candidate will work with Principal Investigators (PI) leading major NIHR funded projects. These projects are of strong policy-relevance, they make use of routine NHS data, they draw on large networks of collaboration in the UK, they intend to find effective and cost-effectiveness of ways to improve the quality of care, and have strong patient and public involvement (PPI) embedded throughout each project. The portfolio of work will include a &pound;2 million NIHR funded study called TACTIC <a href="https://fundingawards.nihr.ac.uk/award/NIHR168433">https://fundingawards.nihr.ac.uk/award/NIHR168433</a> which aims to reduce waiting times for curative cancer treatments. The study is led by LSHTM in close collaboration with the THIS Institute in Cambridge.</p><p>Key elements of this role include:</p><ul><li>Working closely with the PIs who are leading health economists, and with other senior staff&nbsp;</li><li>Providing expert project management support to academic staff&nbsp;</li><li>Managing contractual and budgetary relationships with the funder and collaborators</li><li>Drafting annual and other progress reports required by the funder with the support of academic staff</li></ul><p>The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent, or have extensive relevant experience, along with experience of leading and facilitating PPIE activities on research grants and providing high-level administrative support in a Higher Education environment.</p><p>The post is available full-time or part-time, 21 - 35 hours per week, 0.6 &ndash; 1.0 FTE and fixed term until 31 October 2028. The post is funded by the NIHR and is available from 01 July 2026. Core responsibilities, including the management of complex projects and work on PPIE, will be required regardless of FTE. The number of projects assigned will be adjusted in line with the agreed working hours.</p><p>The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 6 in the range &pound;45,728 - &pound;51,872 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary &ldquo;Wellbeing Days&rdquo;. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The Research Finance Team aims to deliver <a href="https://www.lshtm.ac.uk/aboutus/introducing/mission">LSHTM&rsquo;s</a> <a href="https://www.lshtm.ac.uk/aboutus/introducing/mission">mission:&nbsp;to&nbsp;improve health&nbsp;worldwide</a> through provision of an efficient and effective post-award service that ensures the good governance and management of risk in an extensive and complex research portfolio, while working in partnership with project teams, providing highly valued expertise and a focus on finding solutions in pursuit of shared goals.</p><p>The Assistant Research Finance Manager provides day-to-day leadership to a team of Research Finance Officers delivering an efficient, customer-focused service covering all aspects of post-award financial management across a complex portfolio of projects. This includes preparation of funder financial reports, monitoring income from funders, raising supplier invoices, approving high-value transactions, and providing guidance on funder terms and conditions.&nbsp;</p><p>The post-holder must have higher education to degree level or equivalent, or equivalent relevant experience. The post-holder must be confident with prioritisation and independent working but also able to work flexibly as a team member when required. &nbsp;Further particulars are included in the job description. &nbsp;</p><p>The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE and permanent. The post is available from 01 July 2026.&nbsp;</p><p>The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 6, &pound;45,728 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting). Our mission is to improve health and health equity in the UK and worldwide; working in partnership to achieve excellence in public and global health research, education and translation of knowledge into policy and practice.</p><p>We are recruiting 1 full-time permanent Education Administrator within the Faculty of Epidemiology and Population Health&rsquo;s Education Administration Team for an immediate start.&nbsp;</p><p>The postholder will be responsible to the Education Administration Manager and will provide administrative support for London-based intensive degree programmes.</p><p>This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to commence or further a career in Higher Education administration.</p><p>The post involve acting as first point of contact for enquiries from students, staff and external stakeholders, managing student records, updating programme and module materials, examinations and assessment, committee support, and working with confidential and sensitive information. This role involves extensive communication with a wide range of people; therefore, a high standard of written and spoken English is essential. You should have strong IT skills.</p><p>You should be educated to A level or equivalent relevant experience of working in an administrative role (preferably in a higher education setting), together with experience of organising a busy workload, attention to detail and working independently and as part of a team.
