An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the HR Operations & Recruitment team at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. 

The post holder will provide HR administrative and advisory support for the delivery of a high-quality professional HR service to managers and staff across the School, including administering the School’s central HR operational processes. 

The HR Operations & Recruitment Officer's responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Effective management and delivery of all recruitment and selection activity across your designated Faculty and a wide range of Professional and Support Services departments.
  • Dealing with employment related correspondence such as contract administration and UKVI administration and processes.
  • Offering expert advice and guidance in relation to recruitment best practice, UKVI and right to work, family friendly policies, probation and fixed term contracts.
  • Conducting job evaluation of new and existing posts. 
  • Processing new starters from recruitment to onboarding. 

This is a full-time and fixed term maternity cover post with immediate start until August 2019 and will be based at Senate House, London. The salary will be on the Professional Support Pathway Grade 5 scale and starting salary for this role is £33,567 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this, there are discretionary “Director’s Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is also available.Interviews for this role will be held on 3 August 2018.
