We are seeking an enthusiastic, talented epidemiologist to work on a new international project on children, adolescents and young adults with cancer, within the Cancer Survival Group. The Cancer Survival Group is part of the Department of Non-Communicable Disease Epidemiology in the Faculty of Epidemiology & Population Health at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
You will be expected to conduct high-quality research under supervision of Dr Audrey Bonaventure, the PI, to contribute to scientific publications and attend national and international conferences to disseminate research findings. You will also contribute to the LSHTM teaching activities.
You will have a master’s degree and some research experience in epidemiology and/or medical statistics, preferably in cancer or child health epidemiology. You will have a good understanding of the concepts of epidemiology and the capacity to learn and implement complex analytic approaches in STATA. Experience in dealing with complex data sets is essential and experience handling population-based cancer registry data would be desirable.
This is a part-time position (0.5 FTE), immediately available and until 31 December 2020 in the first instance. The salary will be on the academic grade 5/6 in the range £33,567 - £39,318 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. The post is subject to LSHTM terms and conditions of service.
