            <p id="isPasted">The London School of Hygiene &amp; Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is one of the world&rsquo;s leading public health universities. Our mission is to improve health and health equity in the UK and worldwide; working in partnership to achieve excellence in public and global health research, education and translation of knowledge into policy and practice.</p><p>The Department of Infection Biology brings together pathogen molecular biology and immunology and infection research across the School. The Department benefits from state-of-the-art facilities and strong collaborations, many of which are with partners in disease endemic countries.</p><p>We are seeking to appoint a Research Fellow to work in the laboratories of Dr Ozan Gundogdu and Prof Brendan Wren as part of a Wellcome funded consortium entitle the Campylobacter Control Campaign (CCC). The new appointee will work on a project to use glycoengineering develop Salmonella and Campylobacter glycoconjugate vaccines for poultry to reduce gastrointestinal infections in the food chain. The successful applicant will join a vaccine research team of ten staff at the LSHTM. The post-holder will have an opportunity to be part of a wider team (CCC) investigating Campylobacter in sub-Saharan Africa.</p><p>The successful candidate will have a postgraduate degree, ideally a doctoral degree, in a relevant topic (Microbiology), expertise in molecular biology and glycoengineering, expertise in vaccinology and vaccine design, evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Further particulars are included in the job description.&nbsp;</p><p>The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE and fixed term until 31 July 2028. The post is funded by Wellcome and is available from 01 August 2026.</p><p>The salary will be on the LSHTM scale, Grade 6 in the range &pound;45,728 - &pound;51,872 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. &nbsp;Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary &ldquo;Wellbeing Days&rdquo;. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. Our mission is to improve health and health equity in the UK and worldwide; working in partnership to achieve excellence in public and global health research, education and translation of knowledge into policy and practice.</p><p>We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Data Entry and Administrative Assistant to work in our busy Parasitology Reference Laboratory based within the Faculty of Infectious and Tropical Diseases at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM).&nbsp;</p><p>The postholder will support a small team that provides a highly specialised Malaria Reference Laboratory (MRL) service for the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA). The MRL offers both a confirmatory and surveillance service for cases of imported malaria into the UK. They will support the Principal Biomedical Scientist with maintaining the UKHSA MRL database and compiling data for audit, case investigations and reports to other organisations, plus other administrative duties, as required.&nbsp;</p><p>The successful candidate will have a background of accurate clinical data entry abilities, solid communication skills and an excellent customer care focus. &nbsp;The successful candidate will possess effective organisational and time management skills and show attention to detail and a systematic approach to their work. Further particulars are included in the job description.</p><p>The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training and, once training is complete, will be required to work independently at times.&nbsp;</p><p>The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE and fixed term until 31 March 2027. The post is funded by the UK Health Security Agency and is available immediately.</p><p>The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 3 in the range &pound;30,231- &pound;33,925 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting).
