            <p id="isPasted">The London School of Hygiene &amp; Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is one of the world&rsquo;s leading public health universities.</p><p>LSHTM is a research-intensive institution with a large portfolio of circa &pound;180m grant spend per year and around &pound;500m in applications. The Research Finance Team aims to deliver <a href="https://www.lshtm.ac.uk/aboutus/introducing/mission">LSHTM&rsquo;s</a> <a href="https://www.lshtm.ac.uk/aboutus/introducing/mission">mission&nbsp;to&nbsp;improve health&nbsp;worldwide</a> through provision of an efficient and effective post-award service that ensures the good governance and management of risk in an extensive and complex research portfolio, while working in partnership with project teams, providing highly valued expertise and a focus on finding solutions in pursuit of shared goals.</p><p>The Research Finance Officer is responsible for the financial management of a portfolio of complex research and consultancy projects working closely with academics and project administrators in the faculties. This is a busy and varied role that requires the post holder to: prepare financial reports for funders, monitor income from funders, raise supplier invoices, approve high-value financial transactions, provide guidance on funder terms and conditions, and provide an efficient service to academic and professional services staff in the faculties.</p><p>You must be educated to a higher education to degree level or equivalent, or equivalent relevant experience. The post-holder must be confident with prioritisation and independent working but also able to work as part of the team and flexibly when required. Further particulars are included in the job description.</p><p>The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1 FTE and permanent. Please note that LSHTM anticipates that the successful post holder will work from the office two days a week minimum.</p><p>The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 5 in the range &pound;39,984- &pound;45,728 per annum pro-rata (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. &nbsp;Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary &ldquo;Wellbeing Days&rdquo;. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. This is your chance to play a vital role in delivering exceptional HR services that support our staff and advance our mission.</p><p>The post-holder will provide excellent HR administrative and advisory support for the delivery of a high-quality professional HR service to managers and staff across LSHTM, including administering LSHTM&#39;s central HR operational processes.&nbsp;</p><p>The HR Officer&#39;s responsibilities will include (but not limited to):</p><ul><li>Effective management and delivery of high-volume recruitment and selection activity across your designated Faculty</li><li>Managing employment administration and overseeing contract administration, UKVI processes, and employment-related correspondence with accuracy and efficiency</li><li>Providing expert guidance and advising managers and staff on recruitment best practice, UKVI/right to work requirements, family-friendly policies, probation, and fixed-term contracts</li></ul><p>The post-holder will hold an undergraduate degree (or equivalent) or a CIPD level 5 qualification or equivalent significant HR professional experience. You will also have strong experience of managing high volume recruitment campaigns, providing proactive and responsive HR advice and a detailed working knowledge of UK immigration regulations.
