          <title><![CDATA[Project Manager - NETOMA (0.6 FTE) (PHP-GHD-2026-03)]]></title>

            <p id="isPasted">The London School of Hygiene &amp; Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is one of the world&rsquo;s leading public health universities. Our mission is to improve health and health equity in the UK and worldwide; working in partnership to achieve excellence in public and global health research, education and translation of knowledge into policy and practice.</p><p>We are seeking to appoint a Project Manager in the Department of Global Health and Development to work on a Wellcome Trust funded project, &quot;Not Enough and Too Many: Professional Personhood among Africa&rsquo;s paradoxically surplus health workers&quot;. The project is a mixed-methods study across West, East and Southern Africa investigating the causes and consequences of unemployment, underemployment and precarious employment among doctors and nurses in Nigeria, Uganda and Zambia.</p><p>The post-holder will be expected to work on negotiation of contracts and setting up research grants. They will have responsibility for strategic management and control of budgets within different streams of the project, including drafting and updating budgets and reforecasts, advising Principal Investigators on allocation of financial resources, and producing financial reports. They will work with the Research Fellow to set up and maintain a project website.</p><p>The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent, or have extensive relevant experience, have project management experience including managing multi-million-pound projects with multiple partners and workstreams, and be familiar with funding terms and conditions. Further particulars are included in the job description.</p><p>The post is part-time 21 hours per week, 0.6 FTE and fixed term until 31 August 2030. The post is funded by the Wellcome Trust and is available immediately.</p><p>The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 6 in the range &pound;45,728 - &pound;51,872 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary &ldquo;Wellbeing Days&rdquo;. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. Our mission is to improve health and health equity in the UK and worldwide; working in partnership to achieve excellence in public and global health research, education and translation of knowledge into policy and practice.</p><p>We are seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator to support Principal Investigators (PIs), project co-leads, and partner organisations based overseas with high-level project coordination and financial management.</p><p>The post-holder will be responsible for supporting several projects funded by both UK and overseas funders, providing efficient administrative, logistical, and financial support.</p><p>Applicants must possess substantial experience of providing proactive administrative support of academic / global health research and of managing large complex grants with multiple partners across multiple countries, as well as experience in compiling regular funder reports. Applicants must have higher education to degree level or equivalent or substantial relevant experience and ideally have certified training in high-level project coordination/management.</p><p>The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE and permanent. The post is funded by the Faculty and is available immediately.</p><p>The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 5 in the range &pound;39,984 - &pound;45,728 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff.
