Vector biology has a central role in the design, management and evaluation of many global and regional vector borne disease control initiatives and has led to renewed recognition of the public health potential of vector control. The Faculty of Infectious and Tropical Diseases (ITD) wishes to appoint a Senior Lecturer / Lecturer to strengthen research and teaching in vector biology within the School.
We are looking to appoint a Senior Lecturer / Lecturer in Vector Biology with the aim of building and leading a world class field-based or laboratory programme in medical entomology or related area in the transmission of vector borne diseases or molecular entomology. The post holder will have a strong proven track record in publications and research funding, a willingness to exploit the collaborative opportunities within LSHTM, and excellent communication and teaching skills. The post will be a full time appointment at non-clinical Senior Lecturer / Lecturer level on a without-duration contract.
