An enthusiastic and dedicated person is required to work evenings in the Library at this major international postgraduate medical school.
Duties include providing services to users from the Enquiries Desk (including the issuing, return and renewal of loans, and support in the use of electronic and printed information resources), and undertaking projects relating to the Library Systems Team.
Applicants should have previous experience of working in a library and possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. They should be able to demonstrate initiative, flexibility and proficiency in IT. The abilities to work without supervision and to take responsibility are essential.
Hours of work are 5:00pm–8.30pm on weekdays. The shift comprises working alongside another part-time early evening Library Assistant from Monday to Friday each week. The early evening Library Assistants are responsible for closing the Library during vacations.
Salary will be pro rata on the Professional Support Grade 3 scale within the range £22,900 to £25,962 pro rata per annum, inclusive.
